Đan Catch-all

A shape-shifting tray that holds the most, while using the least.
In Vietnamese, đan means knit / plait / weave.

Designed in 2024 by Thomas Vincent

Its simple geometric look remains visually interesting with every shape-shift.

A coherent ratio between conception and function.

  • Ultra-light, flexible, and intentional in every detail.

Made from just two identical linen strips and natural bamboo sticks, each piece is hand-finished with care—no glue, no extra chemical.

  • A coherent ratio between conception and function.

Its simple geometric look remains visually interesting with every shape-shift by the user.

  • Holding the most, using the least.

A tray, an object with the simplest function to hold other small objects, shouldn’t require rare materials, heavy tooling or high energy consumption for its conception.
